Russia Attacks Zaporizhzhia, Kills 2, Including a Child, Injures at Least 2
On the night of September 2, Russian forces launched an attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia with a barrage of rockets, airstrikes, and drone attacks. A 38-year-old woman and an 8-year-old boy were killed in the attack.
The explosion’s blast wave, along with debris, also damaged nearby buildings, injuring a 43-year-old man and a 12-year-old girl, according to Zaporizhzhia region Governor Ivan Fedorov.
Fedorov stated that the 12-year-old girl is currently in intensive care.
Throughout the day, 11 communities in the Zaporizhzhia region were hit 313 times by Russian attacks.
These strikes inflicted significant damage to civilian infrastructure.
Drones were also used extensively in the attacks, with 198 UAVs of various types targeting Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Novodanylivka, and Poltavka.
100 artillery shells were fired on the territory of the same settlements.
Furthermore, Russian forces launched three anti-aircraft missile attacks on Huliaipole and Novodanylivka.
