“Every day for Donetsk region means new and new Russian war crimes. Strikes on peaceful cities, on homes, on children—this is terror with no justification. The world must see this and call things by their proper names. Russia is a terrorist state,” Filashkin said.
According to the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Russian forces shelled populated areas of the region 11 times on February 9 alone, injuring one additional civilian.

Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, at least 4,014 civilians have been killed and 8,872 wounded in Donetsk region, regional authorities said. These figures do not include casualties in the occupied cities of Mariupol and Volnovakha.
Earlier, Russian strikes across Ukraine hit evacuation transport and civilian sites, leaving people dead and wounded and causing fresh damage to energy infrastructure, regional authorities said.
In the Kherson region, Russian drones and artillery targeted parts of Kherson city and the settlement of Antonivka, injuring three civilians.
