Russia Targets Evacuation Vehicles and Energy Infrastructure in Deadly Nationwide Attacks

Russian attacks across Ukraine struck evacuation vehicles and civilian infrastructure, with regional officials reporting deaths, injuries, and renewed damage to energy facilities on February 6.
In the Kherson region, Russian forces shelled areas of Kherson city and Antonivka with drones and artillery, injuring three people, according to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

Separately, an evacuation vehicle came under attack in Beryslav in Kherson region, killing a civilian man and leaving the car completely burned out, Kherson Regional State Administration head Oleksandr Prokudin reported.
Russia also intensified strikes on the Kherson thermal power plant, with at least five hits recorded in a single day. Ukrainian national energy company Naftogaz said the facility has now been attacked for the fourth time since the start of the month.
In the Donetsk region, an evacuation vehicle was struck in Druzhkivka, though no casualties were reported, Suspilne said.

Further north in the Sumy region, a Russian drone hit a civilian car in the evening, killing the woman driving, according to Sumy Regional Military Administration head Oleh Hryhorov.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, a Russian UAV struck a vehicle in Polohy district, injuring four people. At the same time, three more residents were wounded in the village of Bilenke, also in the Zaporizhzhia region, regional governor Ivan Fedorov said.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian forces shelled Nikopol and Synelnykove districts throughout the day, wounding five people, according to regional administration head Oleksandr Hanja. Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported damage to a fire and rescue station, as well as 12 houses, vehicles, and power lines.
Earlier, it was reported that two people were killed and five others injured as a result of Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district.
Russian forces carried out 517 strikes on 32 settlements across the region. The regional center was attacked by drones, damaging private residential buildings. A 14-year-old boy was injured and received all necessary medical assistance.
