Russian Airstrikes and Cluster Bombs Hit Druzhkivka, Leaving Seven Dead and 15 Injured

On February 4, Russian forces launched a series of attacks on the city of Druzhkivka in the Donetsk region, using cluster munitions and airstrikes. As a result of these assaults, seven people were killed and 15 were injured.
This was reported by Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.

The attack began in the morning when Russian forces targeted the local market in Druzhkivka, a busy area usually crowded with people.
Filashkin confirmed that the victims ranged in age from 43 to 81, and 15 other individuals, aged between 50 and 72, were injured.
“This is yet another deliberate war crime and further proof that all Russian claims about a ‘ceasefire’ are meaningless,” he emphasized, adding that the attack was aimed at terrorizing the civilian population.
Additionally, Russian forces dropped two air bombs on the city, damaging the industrial zone, three apartment buildings, and three private houses.
The situation in the city remains tense, and rescue services are working to address the aftermath of the strikes.
Just a day earlier, on February 3, Russian forces targeted a residential area in Zaporizhzhia, killing two 18-year-olds and injuring at least seven others, including a 15-year-old girl who remains in critical condition, according to Ukrainian officials.

Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, stated that the attack occurred as residents were returning home. He also reported that medical teams were transporting three of the wounded to the hospital, with the 15-year-old girl described as being in “extremely serious” condition.
Previously, Russia carried out a massive, multi-wave attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure during the coldest nights of the winter, targeting heat and power plants across eight regions. The strikes left hundreds of thousands of civilians without heating as temperatures dropped to as low as -25°C (-13°F).
