Russia Launches Ballistic Missile Strike on Kryvyi Rih, Seven Injured

On Saturday, March 29, Russian forces conducted a ballistic missile strike on the city of Kryvyi Rih, according to Ukrainian regional and local officials.
The head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, confirmed the attack in a statement on Telegram, urging residents not to share photos or videos from the scene due to the possibility of further strikes.
“Dense urban area was hit. Currently, there are five injured, all in moderate condition. Emergency services are working at the site,” Vilkul stated.

According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ballistic missile threats were detected from the southeast, prompting air raid alerts across eastern, southern, central, and parts of northern Ukraine. A high-speed target heading toward Kryvyi Rih was tracked shortly before impact.
Damage from the strike includes multi-story residential buildings, private homes, a school, and a car wash, according to Lysak.

UPDATE: According to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service and the Office of the Prosecutor General, the missile strike on Kryvyi Rih injured at least seven people. A car caught fire following the explosion and was promptly extinguished by emergency crews.
The attack damaged residential buildings, a store, a car wash, an infrastructure facility, and over 20 vehicles. A criminal investigation into a war crime has been launched under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Earlier, on the evening of March 28, Russia carried out a drone strike on Dnipro, causing multiple explosions and fires across the city. A hotel and residential complex were among the sites hit. According to regional authorities, one person was killed and six injured, including a pregnant woman and two individuals in serious condition.
