Russia Launches Drone Attacks on Odesa Region, Targeting Energy Facilities and Killing One Man

On the evening of March 4, Russia launched a drone attack on Odesa and the surrounding area, reportedly using Shahed-136 UAVs. The strikes targeted energy facilities, port infrastructure, and civilian sites, the Odesa Region Prosecutor’s Office reported.
As a result of the attack, a 73-year-old man was killed, and another local resident sustained moderate injuries.


At least 20 private homes in the outskirts of Odesa were damaged or destroyed, along with utility buildings, a business center, a post office, a medical laboratory, commercial properties, and civilian vehicles.
Additionally, around 9:30 PM, the Russian forces launched a missile strike on an abandoned resort facility in a coastal village in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. The attack destroyed a three-story building and shattered windows in nearby homes.

On the night of February 28, Russian forces launched a wave of drone attacks on Ukraine, causing significant damage in multiple regions. Explosions were reported in Kharkiv and Odesa, with a medical facility in Kharkiv struck and a fatality confirmed in the Odesa region.
