Russia Loses 1,200 Troops in a Day of 190 Clashes as Moscow Claims “Everything Is Going According to Plan”

Ukrainian forces reported 1,200 Russian personnel losses over the past day as 190 combat engagements were recorded across the front on October 14, according to the General Staff’s morning update.
The report also listed the destruction of:
5 tanks;
29 artillery systems;
390 operational-tactical UAVs;
145 vehicles;
1,200 Russian personnel.
The General Staff detailed heavy activity on multiple axes, including Kupiansk, Lyman, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Kostyantynivka, Pokrovsk, Oleksandrivka, Orikhiv, and the Dnipro (Pridniprovske) sector, while noting no offensive actions on the Huliaiipole axis and no signs of assault group formation in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
“In total, 190 combat engagements were recorded over the past day,” the update stated, before listing air and ground attacks and sector-by-sector tallies.

A summary carried by Mezha echoed the operational picture, quoting the General Staff’s figures on airstrikes, shelling, and drone use: “Yesterday the enemy delivered 108 airstrikes… conducted 4,315 shellings… and engaged 5,214 suicide drones,” it reported, crediting the military’s morning communique.
The General Staff also highlighted Ukrainian strikes on Russian command posts and force concentrations: aviation, rocket troops, and artillery “hit seven areas of concentration of personnel and equipment, three command posts, and two enemy artillery assets” over the last day, the update noted.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Ministry of Defense did say, on 10 October, that it was “satisfied with the outcome of the strikes on Ukraine” and claimed “all the targets … had been destroyed.”
Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian troops recorded 117 combat engagements along the front on the first day of Russia’s self-declared “humanitarian ceasefire,” with the heaviest clashes around the Pokrovsk front.
