Two people were killed in an airstrike on Krasnopil in the Sumy region, leading to a pre-trial investigation on February 11, according to Ukraine’s Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to preliminary findings, on February 11, 2025, at approximately 3 pm, Russian forces carried out an airstrike on civilian infrastructure in the Krasnopil community of the Sumy district, deploying two guided aerial bombs.
The attack resulted in the deaths of a 40-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman. Additionally, an agricultural enterprise, vehicles, and several buildings sustained damage.

Prosecutors, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the strike. The investigation is being conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Sumy region. A pre-trial investigation has been launched under the procedural guidance of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office into alleged war crimes resulting in civilian deaths.
