Russian Attacks Killed 2.5 Times More Ukrainians During Ceasefire, Data Shows

Russia killed nearly two and a half times more Ukrainians during the 22-day US-brokered ceasefire than in the 22 days prior, according to the Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) on April 15.
Despite the ceasefire, there were eight Russian attacks on civilians, resulting in the deaths of 72 Ukrainians, the CCD reported.
The agency noted that while the ceasefire was intended to halt hostilities, Russia’s attacks on Ukrainian civilians continued, highlighting the risks the civilian population faced during the truce period.

In related news, Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko warned that residents of Ukrainian border cities have less than one minute to reach a shelter in the event of a ballistic missile strike. His remarks follow the April 13 missile attack on Sumy, which killed 35 people and injured 119.
