Russia has relocated vessels from its Black Sea Fleet in response to Ukrainian naval drone strikes, according to Dmitry Rogozin, a Russian proxy leader in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Rogozin made the statement during an interview with the Russian outlet Moskovskij Komsomolets, published on October 21.

"If we return once again to the weapons systems and to what changes the methods of combat use underwent during the SMO , then the Black Sea Fleet is an illustrative example. It was forced to change its location due to the fact that our large ships became simply large targets for unmanned enemy boats," Rogozin said.

Despite having no navy of its own, Ukraine has been successfully destroying and damaging Russian ships since the beginning of Moscow’s full-scale invasion.

Ukrainian forces have launched numerous operations targeting Russian vessels using maritime drones, strike drones, and long-range missiles. Among the vessels destroyed was the “Moskva” cruiser, believed to be the largest Russian warship sunk in wartime since World War II.
