Russian Drone Destroys Store in Chernihiv Region, Killing One Person and Injuring Another

Russian drone struck a store in Semenivka, Novhorod-Siverskyi district, Chernihiv region, killing one person and injuring another, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on the morning of October 13.

The strike caused a fire, and emergency teams are working at the scene to manage the aftermath. Authorities released footage showing the damage to the store.

Previously, Russian strikes had temporarily cut power for around 70,000 consumers in Ukraine’s Chernihiv region, Reuters reported, citing local authorities.

About 29,000 households in Chernihiv and nearby areas and 43,000 in Nizhyn lost electricity, according to the regional power operator, which said restoration work is ongoing.

Earlier, Russian forces dropped propaganda leaflets disguised as Ukrainian banknotes over Chernihiv, according to the Chernihiv Regional Police.
