Russian Drone Drops Explosive on Store in Kherson Region, Killing a 53-Year-Old Woman
Russian forces dropped an explosive from a drone on a store in the city of Beryslav, Kherson region, according to the regional prosecutor’s office report on December 16.
“According to the investigation, around 10:00 am, Russian soldiers dropped an explosive from an unmanned aerial vehicle on a store in Beryslav, Kherson region,” the statement said.
The attack killed a 53-year-old woman. Authorities have launched a pre-trial investigation into this war crime, which resulted in a civilian fatality.
“Prosecutors are taking all necessary measures to document war crimes committed by members of the Russian armed forces,” the prosecutor’s office added.
Earlier reports emerged that Russian forces turned Kherson and the Kherson region into a training ground for drone operators, targeting civilians living there.
Since mid-July, Kherson and its neighboring villages on the western bank of the Dnipro river endured over 9,500 small drone attacks, killing at least 37 people and leaving hundreds injured.
