A Russian drone strike hit the main office of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Lviv on the evening of March 18.
An explosion was heard in the city after Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi issued a warning about a Russian Shahed drone moving toward the area, according to NV.

Lviv Regional Governor Maksym Kozytskyi confirmed that the drone hit the SBU headquarters for the Lviv region and caused physical damage. Debris from the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has been found across the city.
Kozytskyi warned residents not to approach near any wreckage because it could explode and advised people to call the police and emergency services instead. He noted that specialized teams are working at the site and that initial reports show no injuries.
Earlier in the evening, the Air Force warned of drones moving toward Terebovlia in the Ternopil region and another group heading from the Kherson region toward Mykolaiv.
Similar warnings were issued for the Volyn and Vinnytsia regions. In the Volyn region near the border with Poland, Mayor Borys Karpus of Novovolynsk reported that a Russian attack on an energy facility. The strike left more than 30,000 customers without electricity.
During the night of March 18, Russia targeted Ukraine with 147 drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas models. Air defense forces intercepted 128 of these aircraft.

The Ukrainian military reported that 15 drones hit 12 different locations, and falling debris was recorded in three other areas.
Other explosions were reported overnight in Chernihiv and the Kyiv region. In Kharkiv, a Russian strike on the Shevchenkivskyi district caused a fire in a warehouse building.
Russian forces launched a coordinated assault on Ukraine using twenty-nine missiles and four hundred eighty drones on March 7. The attack focused on energy facilities, railway networks, and residential sectors.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, defense systems successfully intercepted four hundred seventy-two targets, including nineteen missiles and four hundred fifty-three drones. Despite these efforts, multiple regions sustained severe damage and civilian casualties.
