“Once again, Odesa region and port infrastructure are under enemy attack. Civilian warehouses and critical energy facilities have been damaged,” Kuleba said.
He added that a Lebanese-flagged civilian ship carrying Ukrainian soybeans was hit during the nighttime attack on the Odesa port. According to Kuleba, no one was injured, and response teams are currently working to eliminate the consequences of the strike.
At the same time, Kyiv and multiple regions across Ukraine came under a large-scale Russian drone and missile assault overnight and into the morning of December 23, with strikes hitting homes, energy facilities, and other civilian sites. The attack resulted in fatalities and injuries, including among children.
In the capital, debris from a downed Russian drone struck a residential building in Kyiv’s Sviatoshynskyi district early on December 23. According to Kyiv Regional Military Administration head Mykola Kalashnyk, five people were wounded, including a 16-year-old girl.

Among the injured was a 48-year-old woman who sustained shrapnel wounds and was taken to hospital in serious condition.
Police said the drone impact damaged a five-story apartment block. Emergency crews were deployed to the site, residents were evacuated, and authorities began assessing the extent of the damage.
Earlier, a Russian missile attack on port infrastructure in the southern city of Odesa left eight people dead and 27 wounded. Several of the casualties were passengers on a bus that was struck at the center of the explosion.
