8 Killed, 27 Injured as Russian Strike Hits Port Infrastructure and Civilian Bus in Odesa Region

A Russian missile strike on a port infrastructure facility in Odesa in southern Ukraine killed 8 people and injured 27 others. Some of the victims were inside a bus that was caught in the blast’s epicenter, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported on December 20.

The attack also caused fires in the parking area, destroying several trucks and damaging passenger cars.




Rescue teams have successfully extinguished all fires at the scene, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine wrote.
Previously, it was reported that Russian forces launched coordinated drone and artillery attacks across Ukraine on December 16, injuring civilians in multiple regions even as peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia continue.
Two children were injured in a Russian attack on the Belynykivka community in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region. The morning strike, which targeted the village of Chervone with a drone, caused acute stress reactions in two girls, aged 12 and 17, Oleg Synegubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration wrote in Telegram.
