On the evening of December 19, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile attack targeting port infrastructure in the Odesa district.

The strike caused a devastating fire in a parking area filled with cargo trucks, killing several drivers who were trapped inside their cabs.

According to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, seven people were killed and fifteen others injured in the attack.

“Tonight, the enemy once again carried out a massive ballistic missile strike… The work of emergency and rescue services is being severely hindered by the ongoing air raid alerts,” Kiper stated.

In one video, a man filming from his vehicle refers to the destroyed trucks and states that the drivers were killed in the attack.

Earlier, authorities in Ukraine’s southern Odesa region have declared a state-level emergency following sustained Russian attacks that severely damaged energy facilities.
