Resent Russian attacks on the bridge along the Odesa–Reni highway could disrupt up to 60% of Ukraine’s fuel imports, according to Dmytro Levushkin, founder of the logistics company Prime, as reported by UNIAN on December 19.

He explained that a significant share of the fuel market currently relies on Danube ports, and if the bridge is fully destroyed, logistical links with the port of Izmail would be severed. In that case, deliveries would have to reroute through Romania and Moldova.

Levushkin predicts that fuel prices could rise by at least 2 UAH per liter as early as next week. A sharp shortage of fuel trucks is also expected, leading to a gradual shutdown of gas stations, particularly in southern and eastern regions.

He also noted that the market would need about a week to reconfigure logistics, but this is further complicated by a severe shortage of drivers capable of quickly adapting to the new delivery routes.
