Russian Drone Strike on Zaporizhzhia Kills Woman, Wounds Six Including Two Children

A Russian drone strike on the city of Zaporizhzhia on Tuesday evening killed a woman and wounded six people, including two children, according to numerous Ukrainian officials and media reports on February 17.
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, said the casualty toll rose as emergency crews assessed the damage.
“There are already six wounded… including two children who needed medical help,” he said, adding that all those injured would be treated as outpatients, Ukrainska Pravda reported.

Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said the attack hit the regional capital at about 8:45 p.m., damaging two nine-story apartment buildings as rescuers inspected the structures, searched for victims and provided assistance at the scene.
Fedorov later said windows were blown out and balconies were damaged, with additional damage to road surfaces and a non-residential premises.
Earlier, it was reported that Russian attacks in the Zaporizhzhia region killed two people and damaged apartment buildings in Zaporizhzhia city, along with other civilian infrastructure.
