Russian warplanes bombed a residential neighborhood in Bilozerske, Donetsk region, late on August 11, killing two civilians and wounding seven, local prosecutors said.

Russian forces have dropped FAB-250 aerial bombs on a residential neighborhood in Bilozerske, Donetsk region, killing two civilians and injuring seven others, including a 16-year-old boy, according to the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office on August 12.

The attack occurred on August 11 at around 22:55 in the town of Bilozerske, Pokrovsk district. The FAB-250 bombs, equipped with UMPK guidance kits, struck a residential quarter where civilians were inside their homes.

A 43-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were killed by the blast.

“Three men, three women, and a 16-year-old boy sustained injuries, including blast and traumatic brain injuries, concussions, shrapnel wounds, lacerations, contusions, and concussive trauma. All have received medical assistance,” the prosecutor’s office reported.

Eight apartment buildings and six vehicles were damaged in the strike.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war). Prosecutors are gathering evidence of yet another Russian war crime against civilians.

Earlier, it was reported that over the past week, Russian forces launched over 1,000 aerial bomb strikes and nearly 1,400 drone attacks.
