Russian Missile Strike Kills At Least 5, Wounds 23 in Dnipropetrovsk Region

At least three people were killed and 14 others injured in a Russian attack on the town of Samar in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reported on June 27.
UPD. As of 1:07 p.m., Lysak reported that the Russian missile strike on Samar killed 4 people, injured 17 more.
UPD2. As of 2:11 p.m., Lysak updated that a 46-year-old man wounded in today’s missile attack on Samar has died in the hospital.
“In total, the Russians killed 5 people. Our sincere condolences to those who have lost loved ones. As of now, there are 23 victims. Four of them are in serious condition,” Lysak wrote.
“Three people have already been confirmed dead as a result of the enemy attack. Fourteen others have been wounded. This is the current information. Data is being updated,” he wrote.
The strike ignited a fire in the city, and emergency services are still working to assess the full scope of the damage. The number of casualties may rise as the situation develops.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Air Force reported detecting a fast-moving aerial target heading toward Samarske, suggesting the use of a high-speed missile or drone in the strike.
Earlier, after a Russian missile strike on the Dnipropetrovsk region, 20 people were killed: 18 in Dnipro and 2 in the city of Samar, reported the head of the regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, on June 25.
Almost 300 more people were injured in the Russian attack. June 25 was declared a day of mourning throughout the region.
