The Russian shipbuilding industry in occupied Crimea has completely deteriorated following successful Ukrainian strikes, the Atesh partisan movement reported on March 25.

“Atesh agents regularly monitor the situation in Sevastopol’s shipbuilding sector, which has completely collapsed over the past year. Shipyards that once served the Russian military fleet are now turning into warehouses and repair sites for damaged equipment,” the report states.

According to Atesh, Russia has lost major military orders due to Ukrainian drone strikes. Funding for shipbuilding has been slashed, and what little remains is stolen before work even begins.

Instead of constructing new warships, the facilities are now patching up remnants of damaged military equipment, hoping to extend their operational use.

“We continue to track all activities at Sevastopol’s military plants, documenting every movement. All gathered intelligence is transferred to Ukraine’s Armed Forces, and every strike on the occupiers brings the day closer when Russia’s fleet is forced out of Crimea for good,” Atesh added.

Earlier, reports emerged that Russian troops in temporarily occupied parts of the Kherson region were facing a wave of malfunctions in their new drones, with some exploding immediately after takeoff.

Atesh partisans embedded in Russia’s 80th and 61st brigades report that many drones lose connection with their operators mid-flight or unexpectedly detonate. According to the partisans, at least two Russian drone operators have been injured due to these spontaneous explosions.
