A Russian-flagged bulk carrier has arrived at Egypt’s Port of Alexandria carrying wheat reportedly loaded in the Russian-occupied Ukrainian port of Mariupol.

According to USM on March 10, the vessel Victoria K delivered a shipment of grain that Ukrainian investigators say originated from territory occupied by Russian forces.

The information was reported by Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist working with the SeaKrime project of the Myrotvorets Center , which monitors maritime activity linked to the export of resources from occupied Ukrainian regions.

Yaresko said that between February 8 and February 19 approximately 7,438.86 tons of wheat were loaded onto the Victoria K (IMO: 1041348) in the occupied port of Mariupol.

“Export: Mostagro (TIN 9701208412). After leaving Mariupol, the vessel entered the port of Temryuk for document processing, without cargo operations on February 20–23, 2026,” Yaresko said.

The vessel later sailed to Egypt and arrived at the port of Alexandria on March 9. Data published on the War&Sanctions portal operated by Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Directorate indicates that the Victoria K has previously been involved in transporting cargo from occupied Ukrainian ports.

According to the portal, between 2024 and 2025 the vessel exported more than 20,000 tons of coking coal from the occupied port of Mariupol.

The shipments reportedly followed a routing scheme designed to obscure the origin of the cargo. According to the War&Sanctions portal, the vessels officially enter the Russian port of Temryuk, then disable their Automatic Identification System (AIS), sail to Mariupol to load cargo, return to Temryuk, reactivate AIS, and then continue toward their declared destination.

The same vessel had previously transported agricultural cargo from another occupied Ukrainian port. In May 2025, the Victoria K reportedly carried nearly 7,500 tons of wheat from the occupied port of Berdyansk in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region to Egypt. Ukraine imposed sanctions on the vessel on November 25, 2025, according to the report.

The case follows earlier incidents involving Russia’s maritime logistics network. Ukrainian authorities seized a cargo ship in April 2025 suspected of transporting about 5,000 tons of stolen Ukrainian grain from occupied Crimea after it loaded wheat in Sevastopol and attempted to conceal its identity while sailing under a foreign flag.
