$1 Million Russian MLRS Destroyed, 700+ Troops Hit as Ukraine’s Signum Reveals Summer Tally

Ukrainian drone operators from the Signum Battalion hit more than 700 Russian troops over the three summer months while also inflicting extensive losses on Moscow’s vehicles, logistics and electronic warfare systems, the unit reported on September 1.
The battalion serves with Ukraine’s 59th Assault Brigade of Unmanned Systems.

In August alone, Signum operators reported striking 225 Russian troops in their area of responsibility, with 107 killed and another 118 wounded.
The unit also targeted infrastructure supporting Russian forces throughout the month.
“Our fighters also struck enemy railway infrastructure seven times, hit an electrical substation and two gas stations, stopped 91 vehicles, five ATVs and 21 motorcycles, and burned seven UGVs. The cherry on top was an enemy MLRS worth around $1,000,000,” the battalion said.

Signum operators also destroyed 53 trucks during August, including vehicles traveling along the main Mariupol-Chonhar logistics route used by Russian forces to move personnel, ammunition and fuel.
The battalion additionally reported hitting 26 antennas, 17 electronic warfare systems and one radar station during the month.
Its interceptor-drone pilots recorded another substantial tally in the air.
“Our interceptor pilots also worked productively, saving the lives of both military personnel and civilians every day. Thanks to their work, more than 1,300 UAVs of various types were brought down,” Signum said.
Earlier, reports emerged that Russia is losing roughly 6,000 more troops each month in Ukraine than it can recruit. Monthly casualties have exceeded its recruitment rate of about 1,000 people per day over the past two months.
