In line with established procedures, the Operational Commander activated available forces and assets. Fighter aircraft were launched, while ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems were placed on heightened alert.
“These actions are preventive in nature and are focused on ensuring the security and protection of Polish airspace, especially in areas adjacent to threatened regions,” the statement added.

The Operational Command said it continues to monitor the situation closely, with all assigned forces remaining ready to respond immediately if required.
Earlier, two Dutch F-35 fighter jets scrambled after an unidentified object appeared inside Dutch airspace and failed to respond to air traffic control.
