Ukrainian outlet reported that the attack hit the city early in the morning, with local officials confirming casualties and damage to infrastructure.
Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the regional military administration, specified the injured as men aged 31 and 58.
The strike also sparked a fire, which was later extinguished. Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, reported that Russian forces carried out a large-scale overnight and morning attack using Shahed drones, with 19 drones downed over the region, even as some strikes were recorded.
“Nineteen drones were downed over the region, but strikes were also recorded,” Vilkul wrote, adding that the attack damaged infrastructure facilities and caused a fire that was quickly put out.
He noted that the two injured men were hospitalized in moderate condition and were receiving necessary medical treatment.

Kryvyi Rih, an industrial city in central Ukraine, has remained a frequent target of Russian drone and missile attacks throughout the full-scale war, with strikes regularly damaging civilian infrastructure far from the front line.
The incident also echoes earlier attacks in the district that caused casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure.
Russian forces struck transport infrastructure in the Kryvyi Rih district on March 2, killing one man and wounding seven people, including two children, after a fire broke out at the site.
The casualties also included a 17-year-old boy, according to officials, in another Russian strike on civilian infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Earlier reports from the area detailed damage to non-military infrastructure during a broader overnight attack that also hit the Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih districts.
