A six-year-old gymnast from Ukraine has set a new world record after completing 223 consecutive pullover exercises on a horizontal bar. The achievement was officially recorded by the National Register of Records of Ukraine.

According to the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Regina Abramova from Lviv surpassed the previous world record of 80 pullovers, which was held by another Ukrainian gymnast, Nicole Knyazeva. Knyazeva had set the record in 2017 at the age of seven.

The new result nearly triples the previous benchmark and establishes Abramova as the world record holder in her age category. The announcement was also shared via Abramova’s personal Instagram page.

The authorities in Lviv noted that this is Abramova’s fourth record. At the age of five, she set three national records, including one for the longest duration a child has held an inverted hang on gymnastic rings — five minutes and 52 seconds.

In a separate athletic milestone, Abramova became the youngest known child to independently reach the summit of Ukraine’s highest peak, Hoverla, completing the hike in two hours and 29 minutes without external assistance.

Abramova currently trains at a youth sports school in Lviv and reportedly practices six to seven hours per day. Local officials stated that she dedicates her achievements to Ukraine and its defenders.

Earlier, Ukrainian strongman Oleksii Novikov set a new world record in the 18-inch deadlift by lifting 550 kg (1,213 lbs) at a competition in Barcelona on March 18, surpassing the previous record by 10 kg.

Representing the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade, Novikov performed the lift without supportive gear, marking both a sporting milestone and a symbolic tribute to Ukrainian resilience.
