Members of the international “Сoalition of the Willing” have confirmed their readiness to provide Ukraine with long-range missiles, according to a statement published on the UK government website on September 4.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer took part in the coalition’s summit virtually. In his remarks, he welcomed the announcement from partners about strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities with long-range missile deliveries.

“Turning the situation in Ukraine, the Prime Minister said Putin could not be trusted as he continued to delay peace talks and simultaneously carry out egregious attacks on Ukraine,” the statement reads.

The Prime Minister recalled recent Russian attacks on the EU delegation building and the British Council office in Kyiv as further evidence of Moscow’s disregard for diplomacy and international norms.

At the same time, Starmer underscored that the “Coalition of the Willing” stands by an “unbreakable ledge to Ukraine, with President Trump’s backing.” He stressed that the group must now “go even further to apply pressure on Putin to secure a cessation of hostilities,” highlighting the need for stronger collective action to force Russia to stop its war of aggression.

Earlier, the United Kingdom announced a new $1.3 billion military aid package for Ukraine, financed through interest generated from frozen Russian sovereign assets.
