The U.K., Germany, Canada, and Luxembourg have pledged an additional $30 million to the international drone coalition supporting Ukraine, the UK government reported on November 19.

The U.K. committed $9.5 million, Germany $12.7 million, while Canada and Luxembourg each contributed $3.8 million. To date, the UK has provided $19 million, reaffirming its position as a leading supporter of the initiative.

The coalition, co-led by Latvia and the UK, was established on February 17, 2024, to bolster Ukraine’s drone capabilities, particularly in strike and reconnaissance technologies. These new funds will further empower Ukraine to strengthen its defenses and respond effectively to ongoing aggression with advanced drone systems, according to the UK government website.

Previously in Warsaw, Radosław Sikorski, former Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with foreign ministers from France, Germany, Italy, the UK, and Spain, confirmed that Europe’s leading nations are ready to take on greater financial and military responsibilities, even if the United States reduces its involvement.
