A Russian drone attempted to a strike passenger train en route from Lviv to Kramatorsk, Ukraine’s national railway company Ukrzaliznytsia reported on October 24.

The attack occurred as the train was approaching Kramatorsk station. Although the drone missed its target, the blast wave shattered windows in three carriages. No passengers or crew were injured.

Ukrzaliznytsia said boarding for the return route to Lviv proceeded on schedule, and the train safely departed Kramatorsk. The damaged carriages will be replaced, and rail service continues without interruption.

Earlier, Ukrainian officials reported that Russian forces carried out two consecutive drone strikes on a railway station in the city of Shostka, Sumy region, targeting passenger trains and civilians during an evacuation.
