Truck With Stolen Ukrainian Grain Involved in Fatal Bus Crash in Temporarily Occupied Crimea

A passenger bus collided with a truck carrying stolen Ukrainian grain in temporarily Russian-occupied Crimea, killing six people.
The incident, which took place on March 24, occurred near Simferopol Airport, according to the report. The bus, traveling from Arkadiyivka, was carrying 32 passengers.
Russian state news agency TASS reported that 21 people were injured, including seven children. The bus driver told Russian media he had been blinded by the sun at the time of the crash and was not under the influence of alcohol.
In related news, Ukraine’s agricultural sector sustained losses of about $80 billion due to Russia’s ongoing war, the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported on February 25, citing Minister Vitaliy Koval.
The estimate includes direct and indirect damages, such as disrupted logistics, land rehabilitation and demining, land loss, and higher costs for fertilizers and fuel.
