US President Donald Trump is expected to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday, June 25, during the NATO summit in The Hague, according to a White House official who spoke to reporters on condition of anonymity, as reported by Politico on June 24.

The anticipated meeting comes at a time of shifting global focus, as international attention has been increasingly drawn to rising tensions between Israel and Iran, while Ukraine’s war with Russia enters its fourth year.

The two leaders last met in April at St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City during the funeral of Pope Francis. That encounter marked their first face-to-face interaction since a reported dispute in the Oval Office back in February.

The upcoming meeting will take place on the sidelines of a broader gathering of NATO leaders, where discussions are expected to center on transatlantic security, support for Ukraine, and global defense priorities.

On June 24, a senior NATO official stated that Russia has likely surpassed the threshold of one million total casualties in its war against Ukraine—including approximately 250,000 killed.
