Trump: Peace Plan Nears Completion as Envoys Prepare Separate Meetings With Putin and Ukraine

US President said his team had made “tremendous progress” toward finalizing a peace plan to end the war between Russia and Ukraine and announced that his envoys would hold separate talks with the Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian representatives, according to his Truth Social post on November 25.

Trump stated that over the past week his team had advanced efforts “with respect to ending the War between Russia and Ukraine.” He added that the original 28-point peace plan, which he described as drafted by the United States, had been “fine-tuned, with additional input from both sides,” leaving “only a few remaining points of disagreement.”

He added that he had instructed his special envoy Steve Witkoff to meet the Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Moscow, while at the same time, Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll would meet Ukrainian representatives.

Trump wrote that he would be briefed on developments together with Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, and added that he hoped to meet Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Russian leader “soon, but only when the deal to end this war is final or, in its final stages.”

Concluding his message, Trump thanked “for your attention to this very important matter” and urged that “peace can be accomplished as soon as possible.”

Earlier, it was reported that Moscow expressed openness to the US peace proposal on Ukraine, describing parts of the 28‑point plan as acceptable while dismissing the European alternative.
