Trump Pledges His Administration Will Focus on Russia's War in Ukraine: “It’s Gotta Stop”

President-elect Donald Trump's administration will focus on Russia's war against Ukraine, CNN reported, citing Trump.

“We’re going to work very hard on Russia and Ukraine. It’s gotta stop. Russia and Ukraine’s gotta stop,” he stated during an event in Florida, expressing sorrow over the lives lost in the war. 

“Whether they’re soldiers or they’re people sitting in towns, we’re going to work it,” he added.

Previously, Donald Trump has said he will "stop wars" around the world.

"They said ‘he will start a war’. I’m not going to start a war, I’m going to stop the wars."

Referring to his previous presidency, he stated: "We had no wars, for four years we had no wars. Except we defeated ISIS. We defeated ISIS in record time, but we had no wars.”

The United States plans to send weapons shipments to Ukraine almost weekly to use the remaining $7.1 billion in allocated funds before President Joe Biden’s term ends.
