Healey highlighted that Putin is continuing his harsh attacks on Ukraine.
“In the last two months alone, there have been 20,000 drone and missile attacks. Therefore, we must intensify our efforts. We must intensify our actions to put pressure on Putin,” Healey remarked.
He emphasized the importance of safeguarding Ukrainians during the winter months.
“Air defense is an absolute priority. So today, I can confirm the largest single-year UK investment in Ukraine's air defense: £600 million ($755 million),” the minister confirmed.

Additionally, Healey announced that the production of new Octopus interceptor drones would soon begin in the UK, with thousands of units arriving in Ukraine each month.
“Our mission is clear: support the fight today. Ensure peace tomorrow. And if Putin decides to continue this war next year, our message to Moscow is clear—the Contact Group will only grow stronger, more united, and provide even more weapons for Ukrainian fighters throughout 2026,” Healey concluded.
Earlier, analysts pointed out that the United Kingdom is not equipped for a prolonged conflict, and it will take years for European manufacturing to match the scale of mass weapons production currently seen in Russia.
