On April 17, Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko, announced a significant step toward finalizing the Economic Partnership Agreement with the United States.
According to Svyrydenko, Ukraine and the United States signed a memorandum today, marking the beginning of constructive cooperation between both countries. This memorandum signals the intention to finalize and sign an agreement that will benefit both nations.
As part of this partnership, work is underway to establish a fund for investment in Ukraine’s reconstruction. The agreement will open doors for substantial investments, infrastructure modernization, and mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and the United States.
Minister Svyrydenko said, “Today, we have taken a step toward a joint economic partnership agreement with the United States. This memorandum marks the constructive cooperation between our teams and our shared commitment to building a prosperous future for both our nations.”
The next steps involve finalizing the agreement text and signing it, followed by ratification by both parliaments.
Svyrydenko also expressed gratitude to the technical teams from both Ukraine and the US for their professional, constructive, and efficient work in making this progress possible.
