Ukraine has already started strengthening air defense over Kharkiv. Other directions are next in line, in particular the Poltava region.

President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived on July 29 on a visit to the Poltava region, where he planned to inspect critical infrastructure and enterprises, and promised to do everything to strengthen air defense in the region.

"We started to strengthen the airspace of Kharkiv, as well as other directions. Today I am in the Poltava region, I want to see critical infrastructure and some enterprises. We will work on doing everything to strengthen the air defense system," Zelenskyy said.

Russia launched missiles and drones on the territory of Ukraine. That's why Zelenskyy today instructed the Ukrainian military command to present the updated structure of the work of the air defense of Ukraine, as well as to formulate new requests to partners.

In order to close the sky over Ukraine, as Zelenskyy previously stated, 25 Patriot systems are needed. This issue, in particular, was discussed at the NATO summit, as a result of which Ukraine received a promise from its partners to strengthen air defense.
