A group of children and teenagers has been successfully evacuated from the Russian-occupied part of the Kherson region and brought back to Ukrainian-controlled territory, Head of Regional Military Administration Olexandr Prokudin wrote on Telegram on November 12.

The rescued group includes boys and girls aged between 7 and 17, among them three children deprived of parental care. Prokudin said they had endured “the grim reality of occupation”—harassment, threats, and coercion.

One ten-year-old girl was bullied at school for being Ukrainian, while her younger brothers in kindergarten were forced to sing Russian patriotic songs and contribute monthly “donations” to the occupying army.

Another girl and her two-year-old brother lost their mother due to medical neglect by Russian doctors; occupation authorities then attempted to send the siblings to an orphanage, Prokudin stated.

The rescue was carried out as part of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative, with assistance from the charity Save Ukraine.

The children are now receiving psychological and social support, housing, and care “to once again feel free and safe,” Prokudin said.

“Thank you to everyone who continues to do everything possible to bring our little citizens home,” he added.

Previously, it was reported that Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service has identified the locations of more than 300 Ukrainian children who were illegally taken to Russia, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced.

According to Zelenskyy, intelligence officials have completed a task to locate the specific addresses where abducted Ukrainian children are being held. The list of names and addresses will be shared with Ukraine’s international partners.
