Ukraine Hits Key Fuel and Logistics Sites in Belgorod and Donetsk Region, Says General Staff

Ukraine’s General Staff said Ukrainian forces struck the “Oskolneftesnab” oil depot in Russia’s Belgorod region and hit a warehouse used by Russian troops, with a large fire recorded at the fuel facility, according to the Ukrainian General Staff on January 7.
The General Staff reported that the oil depot, located near the settlement of Kotel, was involved in supplying fuel to Russian forces, and that hits on storage tanks triggered what it described as a “large-scale fire,” adding that the extent of damage in both incidents was still being assessed.

Belgorod region governor Vyacheslav Gladkov separately said that a drone attack caused several tanks to catch fire at an oil depot in the Stary Oskol area, adding that there were no reported casualties and that emergency services were working at the site.
The General Staff added that, in a separate operation aimed at disrupting Russian logistics, Ukrainian forces struck a warehouse storing material and technical supplies used by a unit of Russia’s 20th Motor Rifle Division in temporary occupied parts of Ukraine’s Donetsk region.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces used FP-2 strike drones to hit a warehouse in occupied Donetsk used to store Russian UAVs and warheads, while also striking fuel storage and energy infrastructure in temporary occupied Luhansk.
