He stated that Ukrainian diplomacy is actively monitoring developments in the Middle East following the increase in regional tensions.

"The most important thing for us is the safety of our citizens. At the direction of the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working to provide effective consular assistance to Ukrainian citizens. Currently, there are about 250,000 Ukrainians in the region," the Foreign Minister noted.

The Minister explained that the consular service remains in constant contact with citizens while embassies coordinate with local authorities and European partners. He confirmed that there are currently no reports of Ukrainian citizens being injured or killed due to the declining security situation.

"As of now, fortunately, there is no information regarding injuries or deaths of Ukrainian citizens as a result of the worsening security situation. We are aware of problems with departures in those countries where the airspace is closed. In all situations, embassies are in touch with citizens and provide the necessary consultations," he said.

According to Sybiha, cooperation with European partners has already allowed some citizens to move by land to safer locations, including Egypt. The Ministry's 24-hour hotline has received about thirty inquiries, mostly regarding delayed or canceled flights.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the recent military operations conducted by the United States and Israel against the Iranian regime.

While welcoming the actions, the President emphasized that the opportunity for transformation within Iran must be managed carefully. It is "important that this chance for change for Iran is used correctly," he noted on March 1.
