Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that in the first half of this year, Ukraine produced 25 times more artillery and mortar ammunition than it did in the entire year of 2022.

"In just the first six months of this year, Ukraine has manufactured 25 times the amount of artillery and mortar ammunition compared to all of 2022. We are now capable of producing 4 million drones annually, with more than 1.5 million already contracted," Zelenskyy said at the second International Defense Industries Forum on October 1.

President Zelenskyy also emphasized that Ukraine’s defense sector has achieved a major milestone with the successful flight tests of a new self-made ballistic missile.

Zelenskyy stated that when presenting Ukraine's Victory Plan to its partners, the country draws on both the strength of its soldiers and the resilience of its people, as well as the demonstrated ambition that Ukraine can, and will, produce the best weaponry.

"Almost every visit to partner countries, every negotiation with allies and world leaders, and direct discussions with defense companies result in increased investment in Ukraine's defense sector, access to new technologies, and expanded production capabilities."

“Ukraine is committed to using these new capabilities to strengthen global security. A free and strong Ukraine makes the world safer,” the President concluded.
