The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refutes the Russian Ministry of Defense’s claims about Ukraine allegedly violating the terms of the ceasefire on attacks against energy infrastructure.

“On March 25-26, the Ukrainian Defense Forces did not carry out drone strikes on energy facilities in Russia’s Kursk and Bryansk regions, nor on energy infrastructure in the temporarily occupied Crimea,” the General Staff wrote on March 26.

“It is important to emphasize that the aggressor country’s military is spreading false and baseless accusations to prolong the war, continue its deceptive propaganda, and pursue typical Russian attempts to mislead the world,” the statement concludes.

On March 25, a 30-day ceasefire agreement in the Black Sea and a mutual ban on strikes against energy infrastructure between Ukraine and Russia brokered with US involvement, came into effect.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the development during a meeting with journalists on March 25, following negotiations in Saudi Arabia involving delegations from Ukraine, the United States, and Russia.

At the same time, the Kremlin stated that the temporary ceasefire moratorium will be in effect for 30 days, starting from March 18, 2025.
