Ukraine Repels Russian Forces From Dnipropetrovsk Border, Capturing Prisoners

Ukrainian troops from the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skala” have pushed Russian forces back from the administrative border between the Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions in a successful offensive operation, the regiment announced on August 18.
The regiment released combat footage showing their advance. According to the soldiers, their assault pushed Russian troops back by nearly three kilometers along the Novopavlivka axis.
The operation involved multiple assault groups supported by armored vehicles, with constant aerial reconnaissance and covering fire from artillery, mortars, and strike drones.
“At the first stage, we quickly destroyed the enemy who had entered the Dnipropetrovsk region. After that, the groups began clearing a 2.5-kilometer strip along the administrative border. The assault then continued for several days,” the fighters explained in their report.

The video also shows the scale of Russian losses and confirms that several Russian soldiers were captured during the operation.
Earlier, Ukrainian Armed Forces cleared the villages of Stepne and Novokostyantynivka (formerly Pershe Travnya) in the Sumy region.
