On the night of October 3, the Ukrainian military reportedly struck the "Borisoglebsk" military airfield in Russia’s Voronezh region.

According to Hromadske sources in the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Ukraine’s SBU, Special Operations Forces and other Defense Forces used drones to target warehouses with guided aerial bombs, SU-35 and SU-34 aircraft parking lots, as well as aviation fuel storage facilities at the airfield. Russia actively uses this airfield to attack Ukrainian territories with guided aerial bombs.

Russian media reported the work of the Russian Air Defense Forces at night, a large number of drones, powerful explosions and a fire breaking out near the local airfield. OSINT satellite monitoring recorded four centers of fires on the territory of the airfield.

The Governor of the Voronezh region wrote that the Russian forces downed around 30 Ukrainian drones in the territory of four municipalities of the region.

"The SBU continues to take active measures to reduce the enemy's ability to terrorize peaceful Ukrainian cities with fighter jets carrying guided aerial bombs. The demilitarization of Russian military airfields will continue because the enemy should not feel at ease even on its own territory," said Hromadske's source.
