Ukraine Reportedly Strikes Russian Marinovka Airfield, Hitting Military Supplies

On the night of August 21-22, the Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, reportedly struck Marinovka airfield warehouses in Russia’s Volgograd region, storing guided aerial bombs and fuel.

According to Russian media, the airfield was attacked by drones, and explosions were heard at the airfield all night and morning.

The Volgograd Region’s Governor, Andrey Bocharov, stated that Russian air defense allegedly repelled a UAV attack on the territory of the Volgograd region in the Marinovka area at night, downing most of the drones.

Russia actively uses the Marinovka airfield to strike Ukrainian territories.
