Ukraine Signs Defense Agreements With Escribano, Romarm, and LeVanta Tech at DFNC3

The Ukrainian defense conglomerate Ukroboronprom signed three international memorandums during the DFNC3 forum held this week. The results of the meetings and negotiations were announced by the CEO of the Joint Stock Company Ukroboronprom Herman Smetanin via Telegram on October 7.
According to him, the Spanish company Escribano Mechanical & Engineering will continue to cooperate with Ukraine in the modernization of armored vehicles and combat modules. At DFNC3, the parties confirmed new agreements aimed at developing air defense systems and further improving armored vehicles, which include deepening technological integration and expanding the production of modern combat systems.
In addition, the Ukrainian delegation held talks with the Romanian company Romarm. The sides discussed the possibility of joint production of unmanned platforms and technical solutions, as well as plans to attract investment to finance defense projects and create joint development programs.
Separately, Smetanin confirmed that the American company LeVanta Tech has launched a partnership with Ukraine to develop a unique drone capable of both flying and operating on water.
According to Kelly Eccles, founder and CEO of LeVanta Tech, the project carries both technological and symbolic significance for Ukraine and the United States.
“Ukraine is the world leader among free nations in unmanned technology. There are many drones that can fly and those that can float, but very few that can do both. That’s exactly what we’re building,” Eccles said in an interview with Militarnyi on October 7.
Earlier, Ukraine unveiled a previously undisclosed variant of its domestically produced Neptune cruise missile during a presentation for representatives of NATO member states.
