Ukrainian defense manufacturer Global Mark has introduced its latest unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the BLITZ-2, a dual-fuselage platform designed for both reconnaissance and strike operations.

According to a report by Militarnyi on March 1, the company released footage showcasing the drone’s unique design and specialized landing gear.

The BLITZ-2 distinguishes itself through a twin-boom or dual-fuselage configuration. As noted by Militarnyi, this specific structural choice offers several tactical advantages:

  • Enhanced stability: improved flight steadiness and aerodynamic efficiency;

  • Payload flexibility: the ability to house bulky or modular payloads between the two fuselages without significantly altering the aircraft’s center of mass;

  • Structural integrity: better distribution of physical loads across the airframe.

While full technical specifications remain classified, Global Mark confirmed that the BLITZ-2 can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h. The drone is also equipped with a specialized ski-type landing gear, enabling it to operate from unprepared or rugged surfaces.

The new model appears to leverage components from its predecessor, the original BLITZ interceptor, which was first presented in October 2025. According to data provided by Global Mark during the Security 2.0 2025 exhibition, the baseline BLITZ was specifically engineered to intercept slow-moving, high-altitude Russian reconnaissance drones such as the “Zala” and “Supercam.”

The technical profile of the original BLITZ includes:

  • Dimensions: a 1.5-meter wingspan and 1.1-meter length;

  • Weight: a takeoff mass of approximately 5 kg;

  • Flight Ceiling: an operational altitude reaching up to 4,000 meters;

  • Range: an operational radius between 30 and 100 km, with a flight endurance of up to 60 minutes.

Like its predecessor, the BLITZ-2 is expected to utilize an electric motor, which reduces both acoustic and thermal signatures. The manufacturer highlights that the system includes an autopilot and an automatic target tracking system.

According to Global Mark, these features are intended to “simplify its operation and allow for effective use even by operators with minimal training.”

Earlier, Ukraine unveiled the AI-powered “Pavuk Dopkhina” (Dophin Spider) drone, developed by the 3rd Assault Brigade and Omnitech with support from Brave1.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, the system can operate at distances exceeding 50 kilometers, using artificial intelligence to map terrain and support deep-strike UAV missions against Russian air defense systems and logistical targets.
