Ukraine Wipes Out Two Rare Russian Yastreb Radars Worth $500 Million, Video

Ukraine’s 413th “Raid” Separate Unmanned Systems Battalion has released video evidence showing the destruction of two advanced Russian radar systems, reportedly 1K148 “Yastreb-AV” units, with an estimated total value of $500 million.
According to Ukraine’s 413th “Raid” Battalion on June 18, one of the radar systems was struck by a loitering munition, while the second was targeted with precision artillery fire, possibly using a HIMARS system.

The footage was published on social media and confirms the elimination of both assets.
The 1K148 “Yastreb-AV” radar made its public debut at Russia’s “Army-2022” military forum. While its specifications remain classified, the system is believed to have been integrated into the Russian Armed Forces following trials concluded by late 2021 or early 2022.
It is mounted on a BAZ-6910 four-axle chassis and equipped with an antenna station capable of covering large operational areas.
According to Russian sources, the Yastreb-AV is designed to detect artillery and multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) fire positions, locate missile launch sites, and adjust friendly artillery fire.
The radar is part of Russia’s broader effort to enhance its counter-battery and battlefield surveillance capabilities.
Earlier in May, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) destroyed a Russian Neva radar system on a seized Ukrainian gas platform in the Black Sea using a coordinated aerial and maritime drone strike. The operation also demolished supply facilities and living quarters, further disrupting Russia’s surveillance infrastructure in the region.
