Ukrainian defense firm Fire Point, the maker of the strategic Flamingo cruise missile, announced its development of two new ballistic missiles—FP-7 and FP-9—alongside plans for advanced air defense systems, Ukrainian defense media Militarnyi reported from the MSPO defense exhibition in Poland on September 4.

The company revealed detailed technical specifications for the new missiles.

FP-7 is a medium-range ballistic missile with a maximum range of 200 kilometers, a top speed of 1,500 meters per second, and a circular error probable of 14 meters.

It carries a 150-kilogram warhead and can stay aloft for up to 250 seconds. The FP-7 is designed for rapid deployment from ground-based platforms to strike operational targets at intermediate distances.

FP-9 is a longer-range system capable of reaching targets up to 855 kilometers away, flying at 2,200 meters per second, and carrying an 800-kilogram warhead to altitudes of up to 70 kilometers.

With an accuracy of 20 meters, the missile is intended to strike deep into enemy territory, providing Ukraine with an extended strategic reach.

Earlier, new satellite imagery revealed what appears to be the aftermath of a Ukrainian Flamingo strategic cruise missile strike on an FSB  facility in the northern Crimean city of Armyansk.
