Ukrainian Special Operations Forces have conducted a cross-border raid targeting Russian military infrastructure in the Kursk region, destroying key components of the Iskander-M tactical missile system, according to Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SSO) on November 5.

In a statement published on the official Telegram channel of SSO, the operation was described as a joint effort with the Russian partisan movement Cherna Iskra.

The report said that on the night of October 4, Ukrainian operatives and resistance fighters struck a 9T250 transport-and-loading vehicle used to move and prepare Iskander missiles for launch. The attack took place near the village of Ovsyannikove, the SSO stated.

According to the Ukrainian side, the same mission also destroyed a 1L122 “Garmon” radar station located near the village of Nyzhniy Reutets.

The radar is designed for short-range air surveillance, capable of detecting and tracking aerial targets and providing target data for air-defense units.

The SSO described the operation as part of its ongoing effort to degrade Russian strike capabilities, saying that it “continues to inflict a thousand cuts on the enemy, bringing closer its operational and strategic collapse.”

The statement did not specify any casualties, and there has been no comment from Russian officials regarding the reported incident.

Earlier in November, Ukraine’s Security Service reported that its elite Alpha unit had eliminated over 1,500 Russian troops and destroyed dozens of tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery systems during a series of operations around Pokrovsk, a key front in the Donetsk region.
