“There are signals from the American side regarding the readiness to continue work in the existing formats of negotiations to end the war of Russia against Ukraine. There was a negotiation pause, it is time to end it. And we are doing everything so that the negotiations are truly meaningful,” Zelenskyy said.
The Ukrainian delegation includes Rustem Umerov, Kyrylo Budanov, Davyd Arakhamia, and Sergiі Kyslytsya. The President held a detailed meeting with these officials today to discuss the upcoming mission.
This follow-up comes after a previous round of talks between the United States, Ukraine, and Russia held in Geneva, where the most significant progress was achieved regarding military matters.
While this new meeting was originally intended for early March, it was delayed due to the international situation involving Iran.

The upcoming discussions in the United States represent a renewed effort to advance the diplomatic process.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that a proposed meeting with United States representatives was postponed because partners were focused on the situation regarding Iran.
He noted that Ukraine was ready to meet “at any moment in the format that can help and that will be realistic from the point of view of ending the war,” and emphasized that Kyiv remained in constant contact with the American side.
Additionally, the President warned that Russia was attempting to manipulate tensions in the Middle East to support its aggression and create a “second front” in its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
